Faith

What is Faith?

Faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

In Hebrews 11.1 we are told, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Prayer of Faith

“Father, I thank you for your faith that has been deposited in me. I ask for … (name whatever you are believing for) in Jesus’ Name.

Satan, I command you to take your hands off my… (e.g. money, work, healing, relationship…).

Father, I ask that you would command your ministering spirits to usher in my… (e.g. healing, relationship, business) In Jesus Name, Amen. “

Scriptures on Faith

Romans 4:19–21

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness[a] of Sarah’s womb. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 11:11

By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction (evidence) of things not seen.

Isaiah 55:11

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Numbers 23:19

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Psalm 119:89

Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.

 1 Kings 8:56

“Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.

 Mark 11:23

Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

 2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

– in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.

 Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

 Hebrews 11:32–34

And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.
